This personal project takes place at the very last horse racing track in Quebec, located in Trois-Rivières. With no prior connection to the world of jockeys or equestrian culture, I approached this space as an outsider, drawn by its raw atmosphere and human intensity.

I explored the everyday rituals of the jockeys, trainers, and horses—moments of waiting behind the gates, the tension before the race, and the fleeting relief afterward. More than just documenting a sport, this series captures the fragile coexistence of tradition, passion, and memory in a place that feels suspended in time.

Blending elements of documentary photography and photojournalism, the project offers a cinematic narrative of a world that is slowly disappearing, while revealing the resilience and humanity of those who keep it alive.
